We were all shocked and saddened by the recent devastation caused by the “1,000 year flood” in eastern Kentucky. Homes, farms, businesses, schools, and churches were damaged beyond repair or swept away completely at the end of July through the first part of August. Infrastructure was destroyed. A total of 39 lives were lost; many families lost everything. PRP Women’s Association decided to send a donation of $200 to Team Eastern Kentucky Flood Relief. This organization, established by Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear, gives 100% of donations to aid the flood victims. Women’s Association looks for these opportunities in our region. We will continue to use our funds to help our neighbors in our community and beyond. For more information, click on this link:

Did you know? PRP’s Joe Wallace Community Garden has a plot that is used to grow vegetables that are donated to the Tri-County S.O.U.L. Food Pantry, located at Springdale Nazarene Church (SNC), 11177 Springfield Pike. This ministry serves our neighbors in Greenhills, Springdale, and Forest Park. PRP is pleased that we can assist in the nurturing of this food to the benefit of our neighbors. For more information, click on this link:
