“Prayer is a conversation initiated by God and leading, if we consent, to a divine union. It is the way to pure faith.” —Fr. Thomas Keating
Join us for an open small-group to learn, practice, and discuss Prayer from the Christian Contemplative perspective led by Rev Troy Bronsink.
We’ll learn mindfulness practices to “Be still and know that I am God.” We’ll learn from scripture and poetry as well as contemporary and modern Christian teachers. This will be a brave space to learn new ways of being present to Life Eternal. Troy has been a student of Christian mediation for over 25 years, and teaches these healing practices in traditional churches as well as places with diverse faiths and backgrounds.
Feel free to invite friends or neighbors from other faith communities to be fellow participants in this six-week series. For those seeking to develop a prayer routine, there will be daily practices between classes that build upon each other. But this is a perfect small-group for anyone from the curious seeker, to the beginner, to someone who has a lifetime of prayer experience.
Each class will include guided prayer and small group discussion. If you have any questions email troybronsink@gmail.com
We’ll meet downstairs. Join us as early as noon for brown bag lunch, tea, and coffee.
